- New Educators September 29, 2025 - Let’s welcome our new teachers here at SHCA. Ms. Andino will be joining the education team at St Helen this school year. Her passion for teaching assists her in spreading her love for reading and writing and helping her students grow. Mrs. Guallpa, an ardent educator, will be joining us as a science teacher. Mrs. Lynch will be with the first grade, with her years of experience with working with kids. Mrs. Kellen, a familiar face, will be serving as a temporary teacher, covering for Mrs. Orlando due to her maternity leave. Ms. Valeria Olaya-Florez will be a new educator teaching art and Spanish. - New Principal September 29, 2025 - We would like to celebrate our newly appointed principal, Mrs. Di Rico. She has taught at St Helen Catholic Academy for two years, teaching middle school literature and science. Mrs. Di Rico will take on a new role, leading the school to academic achievement and closer to our Catholic values, on September 3rd. She grew up in Queens, going to Catholic school her entire life.
